Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey, her father (who died in 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka, born on May 5, 1998 from Minsk Belarus. Her 12 WTA singles titles comprise the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is her forte and she has also won Majors in the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both with Elise Mertens. Together with her, the Belgian tennis player, she won WTA 1000s in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. Only four women's pairs have achieved this achievement. It was only four couples who were able to achieve this feat in women's doubles. But in doubles, she moved up to the number one spot following her win at Melbourne on February of the same year. Her coach was former Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the conclusion of the season in 2019 and partially at the start of 2020. She also briefly teamed up with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach who has been with her since at the beginning of 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
